This week started off pretty dramatically on Twitter, when an account associated with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamerenei had this tweet early Sunday morning, featuring the silhouette of a man believed to represent US President Barack Obama.

It's been less than a month since Iran reached a nuclear deal with the US and world powers, but plenty of people have problems with it. In the US, conservatives are raging about the agreement, we've seen that both online and in actual numbers. Khamerenei's Twitter move reignited this debate, and while it may be one of the first times the rest of the world took notice, turns out the account is pretty active on a lot of fronts. He's covered everything from the pershmerga to the Baltimore riots, in varying degrees of bizarre. Here are our picks.

Khamerenei also tweeted about being an "avid reader," complete with a photo of himself at a book fair to prove it.

Khamerenei has also chimed in on issues in the US. He tweeted under the #Baltimore hashtag back in April, when the death of 25-year-old African America Freddie Gray in police custody sparked widespread protests over police brutality in Baltimore, Maryland. Given Iran's relationship with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, though, his words were met with criticism, too.
