Syrian director Al Muthana Subh has expressed his joy at viewers’ feedback regarding his drama “Jalsat Nisa’yah” (Women’s Gatherings) and the increasingly number of viewers the drama is witnessing day by day.
Al Muthana stated that the drama revolves around the lives of wealthy women and their relationship problems with the men in their lives. He added that the drama tackles real life situations. Al Muthana denied allegations that the drama is an Arabic version of the popular American drama “Desperate Housewives”, stressing that the writer of the drama never watched the American drama.
The drama is aired daily on the Arab satellite television station MBC. Fans of MBC on the social network Facebook have selected the drama to be the best television drama being aired during the holy month of Ramadan.
