Lebanese singer Elissa has announced on her official page on the internet social network Twitter that she has halted all preparations for her upcoming album. Elissa said that she is preparing to prepare for a trip to Dubai to attend a special event organized by the magazine ‘Arabian Business’ to announce the most powerful 100 Arab women for the year 2911.

 

Elissa was recently in Dubai to attend the weekly episode of the popular talent show Arab Idol and had afterwards left for Beirut to continue work on her album.

 

Elissa was ranked in 77 place and once news reached her fans, she began receiving hundreds of messages congratulating her on her achievement.

 

The singer was chosen based on her winning three World Music Awards as well as the fact that she was able to acquire great fame since her appearance in the music scene in the 1990s. Elissa was also named the ‘Queen of Romance’ and ‘Queen of Emotions’.

 

The list of most popular women featured 15 women from the United Arab Emirates, the number one place was given to UAE Shaikhah Lubna Bint Khaled Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who, is the minister of foreign trade. Kuwait came in second place with 11 women recognized, followed by Saudi Arabia with 10 women and then Lebanon with nine women recognized.
