Elham Shaheen questions black list

Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen has expressed her astoishment at placing her name on the black list of stars created and stressed that she was a supporter of Egypt’s January 25 Revolution, which overthrew the government of former President Husni Mubarak. Elham added that she supports the change that Egypt is going through and wants all corrupt persons to be prosecuted. She added that she is with the decisions made by the military to prosecute all individuals that committed crimes during the revolution.

 

Elham criticized those that had placed her on the black list, which is consisted of stars that were against the revolution and were pro-Mubarak. She stressed that how can she be judged for speaking her mind during the protests that broke out when she only expressed her fears over the chaos Egypt was going through and the instability.

 

She added that she does not know who are the individuals behind the creation of the list and believes their actions are against freedom of expression and democracy. The actress also expressed her fear that placing her name on the black list will negatively impact her future projects.
