Egyptian actor Amro Waked has called on acting Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmad Shafeeq to submit his resignation and to submit to the demands of the people. Amro said that all of those that stood against the Egyptian people’s 25 January revolution against the former government of President Husni Mubarak should be prosecuted, especially artists who threatened protesters and described them as criminals.

According to the London Elaph, Amro said that Mubarak must be put on trial to make the revolution a success, and Shafeeq should step down because the people of Egypt do not want him and he is only in power to cover up further corruption.

Amro has supported the creation of a blacklist of artists who were against the revolution.

According to Amor, those who called for the burning of protestors and accused them of being on drugs were trying to cause physical harm, which is more that exercising freedom of expression.
