The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is in the ancient city of Fustat, now part of Cairo, Egypt. The museum was partially opened in February 2017. But it officially opened its doors on 3 April 2021 by president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, right before the moving of 22 mummies, including 18 kings and four queens, from the Egyptian Museum in an illustrious event termed the Pharaohs' Golden Parade.
