Katia Harb will not become a nun

The official spokesperson at Alam El Phan offices in Beirut has denied circulating rumors that Lebanese singer Katia Harb resigned to become a nun. It was stressed that the rumor holds no truth to it and Katia is in fact working on her upcoming album. The rumor was created due to Katia’s absence from the scenes a matter, which her managing office stressed was due singer’s request to take some time off from her work and try and relax and devote her time to other interests.
 
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Katia had enrolled in Holy Spirit University of Kaslik to study theology and so many had speculated that she resigned to be a nun.

 

It was rumored that Katia’s brother and business manager, Atif Harb, made a shocking announcement that finally put an end to circulating rumors regarding the singer’s resignation saying that Katia has officially resigned from her singing career, despite the fact that she had reached the peak.

 

It was added that Atif stressed that his sister decided to leave her career in order to dedicated all her time to helping orphans, old people, and the needy and fulfill her true calling in life, which is becoming a nun. Katia had repeatedly revealed in the past that she had always wanted to become a nun before entering the entertainment world, but certain circumstances had made it difficult to do so. The singer stressed that being a nun is her true calling in life and she will do all she can to fulfill her duties.
