The new Lebanese TV series Dukhan wa Matar (Smoke and Rain) tackles the problems of young Lebanese after the civil war and the moral and social changes, which resulted from this war, according to the daily al Hayat.
The series raises seriously the issues of delinquent youth who take drugs as a result of feeling lost and their lack of hope in the future through the police commissioner whose young daughter is kidnapped by a group of adolescent boys.
The 30-one hour-episode series depicts the commissioner’s son involvement in the kidnapping operation in addition to many other immoral actions. It tells also about the confrontations and investigations, which he faces as a result of the incident.
Costarring in the series are Samir Shams, Carmen Labs, Elvira Younes, Emad Farid, Khaled al Sayyed, Mida Mistrah, Patrick Mubarak and a large number of young actors.
