Algerian artist and painter Chakira Mihoub, displayed Saturday in Algiers about 20 of her best paintings, a collection devoted to the theme of women in their environment. Chakira is a well known feminist who focuses her work on women. In 2003, Chakira was granted the first award for female painting in an occasion which paid tribute to Aïcha Haddad. Mihoub stresses that her works are made by the "inspiration of the moment."
