InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s most global hotel company, hosted a five-day roadshow around the GCC to introduce travel buyers to some of its most premier properties. Aiming to raise awareness in the region about its key destinations, the roadshow visited Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

“One of the best ways to communicate with major decision makers in the GCC is to take the message directly to them and that is why we have invested in this direct marketing approach,” said Denis Johnson, Vice President Sales and Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group, Middle East and Africa.

Senior representatives from InterContinental Hotels Group properties in countries including Italy, UK, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus, UAE, Lebanon and Oman presented their hotels merits during the meetings. Additionally, workshops and presentations were held, during which the hotel group promoted tactical offers from the represented hotels for specific periods, marketed MECRO toll-free lines and introduced the ICME Voucher Program.

The roadshow went to Bahrain, followed by Kuwait, Qatar and Abu Dhabi before concluding in Dubai.

“As well as providing between 30 and 50 travel professionals in each destination with the most up-to-date information on our systems and our properties, the roadshow provided a unique opportunity for us to meet one-on-one in a relaxed environment,” said Denis Johnson, Vice President Sales and Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group, Middle East and Africa.
