Today Hewlett-Packard Personal Systems Group Middle East announced the appointment of Christopher Saul as Business Development Manager of Client Virtualisation, to provide further support for HP’s ongoing strategy to strengthen and expand its Client Virtualisation capabilities and sales across the Middle East.
Christopher will be driving HP’s Client Virtualisation sales strategy for the Middle East, working with the CEP and SMB teams to develop innovative Client Virtualisation solutions for businesses and institutions. Christopher’s integral role will also focus on building a Thin Client virtual desktop infrastructure dedicated system, which will help to solve common problems associated with Thin Clients by increasing security, efficiency and flexibility in a cost effective manner.
“I’m really excited to have joined the HP Middle East team. Today, modern businesses are looking to reduce infrastructure complexity and cost by rethinking network strategies in order to cope with today’s challenging IT demands,” stated Christopher. “My vision is for HP to further develop and strengthen its current Client Virtualisation market presence by creating IT environments businesses can thrive in.”
Christopher brings with him over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing and selling Sun Microsystems software and desktop virtualisation solutions. Beginning his career at Sun Microsystems in the UK as a Systems Engineer, Christopher quickly rose to become a Solution Architect for Tech Access, Sun’s MENA distributor in Dubai in 2002. Since then Christopher has played a key role in the sales success of Sun Rays Thin Clients, propelling his region to become the 2nd largest market worldwide.
"We are pleased to welcome Christopher Saul as Business Development Manager of Client Virtualisation," said Salim Ziade, HP PSG General Manager ME, "His leadership and expertise will be an essential part of HP’s growth in the region.”
HP PSG Client Virtualisation solutions centralise computing resources and are changing the way IT is delivered to businesses by delivering reduced costs in maintenance and deployment, as well as greater security and storage options. Also, the absence of a hard drive or any other moving part ensures a much longer lifespan for Thin Clients, significantly reducing power consumption.
