The Zeina-Ahmed Ezz legal battle is quickly coming to a close.

While almost everyone has been on Egyptian actress Zeina's side since the explosive news of her secret marriage and having twins with Egyptian actor Ezz in 2013 - meanwhile he has fiercely denied the allegations - some are now more skeptical about whether Zeina has been 100% truthful.

A series of text messages exchanged between the estranged couple vaguely prove that Ezz has nothing to do with Zeina's "out of wedlock" children. The messages were revealed by Ezz's lawyer Sarah Darwish several weeks ago.

Today, ET Arabic - a spin-off from the US version Entertainment Tonight - claimed that Zeina has requested $131 thousand to appear on the show to talk about her troubled relationship with Ezz for the first time on air.

However, ET's producers refused to pay the extortionate amount.

According to Laha magazine, Zeina was pretty excited about appearing on the celebrity gossip show, noting that she has a few never-seen-before pictures and letters from Ezz to her. However, her defense team advised her against making the appearance as it would breach the court order that prohibits her from discussing her case with any media outlet.

Meanwhile, Albawaba Arabic reported that Zeina deliberately asked for the large sum in order to put the producers off and not appear on the show.

Where's Ezz in all of this? The actor is reportedly patiently awaiting the court's decision in the lawsuit filed against him by Zeina, after which he's promised to sue the latter for public libeling and slander.

But Zeina didn't seem shaken one bit by his threat, confidently assuring everyone that she will come out victorious, regardless of the family court's decision.

"I will always and forever look out for my children's best interest," Zeina said.
