Prominent Egyptian actress Yusra has given her approval to star in a new joint Egyptian-American film.
Filming is scheduled to commence next year on location between Cairo and Texas, and it has been revealed that Yusra will receive a total of 3 million Egyptian pounds for her role in the film.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, prominent Egyptian actor Omar Sharif will also star in the film.
On a different note, Yusra had held extensive work sessions with director Majdi Abu Ameereh, to decide upon a new look for the star in her upcoming television drama “Imra’a Adieh” (An Ordinary Woman).
Yusra stressed that she wants “a look that matches the character in the drama, and not just anything for the sake of appearing different.”
She began shooting the scenes of the drama in July, and hopes to have it ready by the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The drama marks Yusra’s third cooperation with young scenarist Mohammad Ashraf who wrote the leading role especially for Yusra, as was the case for their two previous dramas, “Malak Rouhi’ and “Lika Ala El Hawa.”
The remaining cast of the series includes Muna Shalabi, Khaled Saleh, Suad Nasr, Izzat Abu Ouf, Nihal Ambar, Khaled Zaki and In’am Salouseh.
