Egyptian actor Yusra decided to attend the premier of her film "Ma Tigi Nur'us" (Lets Dance), but departed before the film began, leaving the press behind to watch the film alone.
Yusra arrived with the entire cast, including Izzat Abu Oub, Hala Sidqi, Tamer Hajres and Talat Zein, and director Enas El Dughaidi at the premier in Dubai.
However, the cast and filmmakers only stayed to cut the cake and left without paying any attention to the media. They also breezed by event organizers and the ‘Rotana’ staff that came from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon especially for the event.
Yusra and the remaining cast even refused to make any comments to website ‘Elaph.’
The film is an adaptation of the Hollywood production “Lets Dance,” starring Richard Geere and Jennifer Lopez.
Director El Dughaidi said the Egyptian Censorship Committee consented to the film’s screening and did not oppose any of its contents, despite rumors claiming the film’s numerous sex scenes might be censored.
Yusra plays the role of a lawyer for a major firm who realizes that life is just passing by without her enjoying it. She decides to turn her life around, although the drastic changes she makes negatively affect her family.
The difference between her film and the American version is that the latter has a male as the leading actor, while the Egyptian version presents her as the leading star, said Yusra.
