Syrian actress Yara Sabri will return to the series al Fusool al Arbaa (Four Seasons) after three years in its new part to complete the role as Nadia who becomes more mature.
“Three years have passed since the beginning of the series. I am supposed to have a change in my appearance so that the viewer will feel the difference by time. Indeed there will be no changes in the traits of the character but there are things that have changed in Nadia. For example she started work and engaged in a love relationship that does not lead to marriage. The character remains as it was before but more mature and enlightened,” Sabri told the daily al Hayat.
She added, “my character in the first part was meant to be a careless girl in appearance and indifferent for fashion. But in this part we tried to take the character from the crucible so that she becomes more positive and practical and yet without exaggeration. Nadia is still not primarily focusing on fashion. The change in the appearance stemmed from my personal viewpoint to see the extent of the people’s acceptance to this new figure.”
Responding to a question about the female figures in the Syrian drama, she said, “the same way the eastern man looks at woman, the Syrian drama looks at it these days. When a woman writes this drama by herself she is not fair to the woman. The woman is complicated, without will or marginalized. This appears as if everybody agreed not to see women living their own lives normally including their passions, transformations and views.” -- Albawaba.com
