Lebanese singer Yara’s fans were the first to criticize recent insulting statements made against her and other singers by Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker. In a recent interview Fadel said that Yara is like other singers, with little dignity and only singing for money.
Yara’s fans posted a swift response to Fadel’s statement on Yara’s official page on the internet social network Facebook, which said that Fadel should be ashamed of himself for talking in such a manner against other singers, especially those from his home country Lebanon.
Yara’s fans created the slogan “Except Yara,” and said that if Fadel feels his popularity has decreased, he should not begin insulting other singers, suggesting that he should instead “keep quite.”
Other fans wondered what had gotten into Fadel, especially since he and Yara presented a successful duet together in 2010.
