The tragic passing of George Michael shocked the world.

And for Lebanese-Australian celebrity hairdresser Fadi Fawaz, nothing could prepare for the experience of discovering his boyfriend's dead body.

The 43-year-old was the one who came across George's lifeless body on Christmas Day.

Fadi took to Twitter on December 26; the pain clearly evident in his message.

'It's a Xmas I will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning..I will never stop missing you xx.'

It was later revealed that the iconic singer died of heart failure, peacefully in his sleep.

Fadi Fawaz is identified as a celebrity hairdresser, who reportedly has worked with the A-list.

Celebrity clients in his portfolio are reported to be Naomi Campbell, Emily Blunt and the Pussycat Dolls.

Despite dating a high profile name in George, the couple lived a fairly low-key lifestyle.

They were yet to make their relationship official in terms of a red carpet appearance.

However several snaps on Fadi's Instagram account see the two lovers a picture of happiness, embracing one another.

Prior to dating Fadi, George was in a relationship with Kenny Goss.

Kenny, 58, is an art dealer and businessman, who dated George from 1996, but only went public with their relationship in 1998.

The pair later broke up in 2009, but were said to have grown close as friends in the weeks leading up to his tragic death.
