Algerian artist Nagham Fatuki, niece of prominent Algerian singer Warda, has committed suicide by throwing herself from the sixth floor in her apartment building in Cairo. Investigations have revealed that Nagham was suffering from severe depression and psychological problems and was being treated at one of the psychological and mental hospitals.
Nagham’s husband had confirmed to the police that his wife was suffering from a severe depression, at the same time he was shocked that her state of mind led her to throw herself and commit suicide.
Nagham is the wife of Ehab Khoursheed brother of well-known artist Omar Khoursheed. Among her most noted works are her roles in the film “Al Mushaghiboon Fi Nuwaibi” (Rascals in Nuwaibi), the film “Al Ghasheem” (The Ignorant) and the television drama “Asfour Al Nar” (Fire Bird).
