Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury recently held a number of concerts at different festivals in Tunisia that were unfortunately marked with failure, leaving the singer in a state of utter despair. One of the main reasons behind the failure of the performances was the lack of enough advertising for the concerts and the fact that people in Tunisia are not well acquainted with Wael.
According to the London based Elaph, another reason behind the tragic failure was the fact that an incomplete band accompanied the singer due to the lack of enough time to make prior flight reservations for all the members. The incident is a first of its kind and is mainly the fault of his administration team, who did not plan ahead to present the singer in the picture he deserves to be presented in.
Many speculations resulted from the incident that left a black spot in the singer's career, and gave a bad image of him in front of the Tunisian audience. Organizers of Wael's concerts had stressed that the singer's performances witnessed such a mishap due to the fact that Wael was not given enough time to rest since his arrival in Tunisian.
Recently, Kfoury revealed that previous rumors regarding the possibility of him taking part in a new film alongside Hollywood superstar Antonio Bandares are true. Wael stressed that he does not wish to give out any details regarding the film at the moment, wanting to wait until an agreement is final between both sides.
despite what had occurred in Tunisia, Kfoury is currently experiencing the taste of success with his latest album released “Omry Kuluh” (All My Life), with record sale sky high. The singer had been away from the scenes for sometime but was able to make a strong comeback that marked a significant turn in his career.
Before the release of his album, the singer sent out an invitation to journalist for a press conference which he held in his hometown Zahla City in Lebanon om May 16, 2003. Wael felt it necessary to hold the press conference especially after the fact that he has been away from the scenes for two years. He made statements to the press explaining his disappearance, and stressed that he is confident that his new album will be the key for reviving his popularity that in the past years has mellowed down with the appearance of new singers to the scenes.
Wael had filmed the main song of the album "Umri Kuluh" under the direction of Mirna Abu Al Yas, which has been aired on satellite TV stations, and intends on filming a number of other songs in the form of music videos. The singer announced that a large budget has been set aside for the production of the music videos, which he hopes will meet the satisfaction of all viewers. –Albawaba.com
