ALBAWABA  - In a bizarre incident, a fire broke out backstage at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening, shocking those present, before being quickly brought under control without any injuries.

According to journalist Chris Gardner of The Hollywood Reporter, who confirmed the incident on his X account, the fire started in the press room after a member of the hospitality staff knocked over a coffee stand, causing the heating element underneath to ignite.

Gardner explained that the carpet caught fire for a few moments, and smoke rose near the curtains, before workers quickly intervened to control and extinguish the fire and clean the place. He added, "The situation was quickly brought under control."
