Egyptian singer Angham was hosted as the first guest on a new show “Laiali” (Nights) on the Qatar satellite television channel, in which she removed the veil she has worn for so long that had kept her from talking about her personal life. The singer had openly answered to all the questions the announcer of the show had wanting to show her true nature as someone who is genuine and has nothing to hide.

According to the London based Elaph, Angham defended her style of dress, which was criticized by many as being too revealing, and said she is still young and has the right to dress in any fashion that suits her despite what others may think. She added that her cloths are not the least bit too revealing and on the contrary she dresses within the boundaries of any Arab woman.

During the show, Angham received numerous phone calls from admirers who wanted to tell her how much they appreciate her music and her style wishing her ongoing success. The singer had also received a special phone call from Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi in which the two spoke freely with one another proving previous rumors of an existence of a dispute between them to be wrong.

Recently, Angham denied circulating rumors of a secret marriage to music distributor Fahid that has been spreading in the entertainment world. The singer assured that she is not involved in any kind of relationship with Fahid, let alone be married to him. Angham added that she is shocked people would use her trip to London, which she took to shoot her upcoming music video, as an excuse to create rumors of a secret marriage. She added that when the time comes for her to be married she will definitely announce it to the entire world and not in any way keep it a hidden secret.

Throughout her preparations for her album, Angham received an offer from a cinema production company to star in a new romantic film “Ana Wa Habibi Wal Gharam” (Me, My Love, and Romance), with a budget of over 6 million Egyptian pounds set aside especially for it. The company also gave Angham the choice to pick any male singer from the Arab world to costar with her in the film.

The film’s story revolves around a music academy school in which Angham enrolls in and falls in love with one of her teachers. Throughout the film Angham would discover that her teacher is married to an ill woman and cannot desert her. Angham would undergo a number of musical performances and hold duets with the singer she chooses. Angham has not given her final acceptance for the role and is carefully going through the script.

Angham had previously experienced an unexpected downfall in her health condition as she was struck with an extremely high fever that called for her hospitalization. The singer was restricted to not leave her bed for at least three days and until her fever is gone. –Albawaba.com
