Organizers of this year's "Miss Internet", to be held in Libya on October 22, have announced that renowned Italian fashion designer, Roberto Cavelli, will play an integral part in this year's event.

Businessman Amr Harfoush, organizer of the event in cooperation with several private sector parties in Libya, told the UAE daily, Al Bayan, that Cavelli's participation will be in the designing of the wardrobes the participants will wear. Elaborating further, he explained that the country's culture and Islamic teaching will be taken into consideration.

"Participants will only appear in decent clothes, but the designer is willing to come up with revolutionary designs inspired by the military suits in Libya in addition to other designs, portraying images of the Libyan president," Amr said.

For his part, Cavelli confirmed his eagerness to participate in the event, saying that his dream of meeting Libya's president, Mo'ammar Al Qaddafi will finally come true.

Last month, the son of Libyan President, Saiful-Islam Al Qaddafi, backed the idea of organizing a second "Miss Internet" event, saying that any step toward "open-mindedness" is always welcomed. Saiful-Islam was encouraged after the two Lebanese businessmen, Amr and Waleed Harfoush, suggested the idea. – Albawaba.com
