ALBAWABA - From drugs to sexual harassment of children, the Ramadan series "Bil Haram" is facing a huge wave of criticism from the audience due to the sensitive issues it raises.

Fans also accused the work of slowly releasing events, making it too boring to watch compared with the dozens of other Ramadan series.

In response, Lebanese actor Tony Issa said in an interview with ET Bil Arabi, "The beginning of the work may be relatively slow, because it introduces the characters and paves the way for the story's introduction. 'Don't spoil things' means telling you all the events from the first episode, so it's important to wait a little to understand the development of events."

He added, "Our people like to know everything straight away, without any suspense or excitement in the events. They can watch a Turkish series with 500 episodes and not get bored, and they keep repeating and going up and down and repeating the same topic and they don’t get bored, but with us, from the first few episodes, they want to know everything."
