Egyptian actress Nadia Al Jundi expressed her disappointment with Fifi Abdo's acceptance of a role in the TV drama series "Al Hakika Wal Sarab" (The Truth and The Mirage), saying it was a violation of rights to their friendship. Nadia added that Fifi should have made sure that Nadia did not want the role, which was previously offered to her, before she accepted.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Nadia said that the reason behind not giving her complete acceptance was due to a dispute she had with the production company over the wage in addition to several alterations she requested to be made to the script. Nadia was in utter shock when she found out that Fifi had taken the leading role in the series and is about to begin shooting the scenes.
Nadia set two million Egyptian pounds as her wages for the leading role in the series before making an agreement. The amount placed caused for a number of negotiations to take place between her and the Media City due to the fact that a number of people consider the amount to be too much and is cause for complications in the production of the drama.
Director of the series Majdi Abo Amireh said that he offered the role to Fifi after Nadia had turned down the offer. He added that Nadia gave him a final decision saying she does not wish to accept the part. Filming of the scenes is to begin in early April in order for the series to be ready for airing in Ramadan (The Muslim fasting month). –Albawaba.com
