After being good friends for some time, and having rumors circulate about the existence of a relationship that exceeds that of friendship for their constant appearances together and their duo album, Egyptian singers Tamer Husni and Shireen Ahmad have stopped any form of contact after disputes aroused breaking their friendship. Tamer whose anger has turned into hatred towards Shireen said that the latter had deceived him in a way which he never imagined possible.
According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, in an interview with the daily, Tamer revealed all the details of Shireen’s betrayal that had started almost two years ago. Tamer said that the two were belonged to the same production company and each was waiting to release a solo album. After waiting so long to finally complete the collection of songs for his release, Tamer was in shock when the production company released Shireen’s album putting him on hold and in even a bigger shock when they released a second album for her latest, which featured on of his sons. He could not understand why the company would do such a thing and why they gave one of his songs, which he had written and composed, to her.
Tamer could not believe that something that was rightfully his could be taken and given to someone else so easily as if it was a joke. His anger increased when the company for a third time neglected him and refused to produce a song for him and only concentrating on Shireen. The singer felt that Shireen and the company intended on keeping him away from the spotlight by Shireen’s constant attempt to take up his place in any event to be ahead of him.
On a different note, MBC2 presenter, Razan al Moughrabi is to begin shooting the scenes for the new film "Halit Hub" (A Dose of Love) alongside Egyptian actors Hani Salama, Sharif Ramzi, and singer Tamer Husni. The film's story is by Tamer and directed by Saed Hindawi, dealing with a social dilemma of a family that is separated due to divorce and the two sons are divided between the parents and live apart for a period of twenty years.
Tamer revealed that he is somewhat worried about entering the acting world, especially after he had previously decided to put acting aside and concentrate on his music career. When he presented the story of the film to his friends and Hindawi, he received the green light and was assured that the story is an important issue to tackle.
