The Iraqi boxer Riyad Al Azawi, the world champion in free boxing, said in a newspaper interview that he was married to the late Lebanese artist Suzan Tamim. He spent 18 months wit her that was filled with threats and worry, said Al Azawi.
Al Azawi criticized British authorities for failing to take action to protect Suzan, after they were informed of the threats made by the famous Egyptian businessman Hisham Mustafa against her.
Al Azawi also said that the Egyptian businessman had offered Suzan 50 million American dollars to marry him, and threaten to pay one million to the person that would kill her if she refused.
Suzan lived in constant fear.
Al Azawi revealed that he met the late Lebanese artist at the “Harold” stores in London, owned by the well-known Egyptian businessman Muhammad Al Fayed.
Suzan’s ex-husband Adel Matooq is filing a lawsuit against Suzan's killers, Hisham Talat Mustafa and retired police officer Muhsin Al Sukar.
