The lawyer of the late Egyptian actress Suad Hosni’s family said that he would fly to London to see the details of the British police report on her death, which attributed the death to suicide ruling out any criminal act.

Before heading to London, lawyer Asem Qandil told the UAE daily Al Bayan that he would be near the British Forensic Court expected to release its final ruling within hours. He added that he should take appropriate steps to challenge this ruling if necessary as the law gives him the right to demand reinvestigation of the case.

Qandil confirmed that the late artist’s family asked him to demand reinvestigation of the case, should the British Forensic Court decides that the death was due to suicidal act, which the family doubts and considers inaccurate as some events suggested that there was a criminal suspicion involved in the incident.

Later on, a British police spokeswoman declared that Hosni committed suicide, stating that investigations into her death last June ruling out a theory that the actress was murdered.

The spokeswomen said that the forensic court is scheduled to issue its final decision on Friday.

On the other hand, a number of Egyptian artists have filed a suit with the Egyptian prosecutor general accusing the host of murdering the actress, an Egyptian source in the judiciary branch was quoted by the paper as saying in a previous report.

However, other reports have suggested that Hosni was suffering of depression and anxiety caused by medications she took in ten years of living with a disease in the spinal column, which left her paralyzed.

One week before her death, the late actress was staying with Yusri at the latter’s apartment on the sixth floor of Stewart Tower in west London.

The Egyptian artists refused to accept the story that Hosni committed suicide because, they said, she had been always an optimistic lady.

The artists pointed to reports that there had been a brawl and screaming 15 minutes before Hosni plunged from the apartment’s balcony.

“The head of the late artist was found almost shaved, and one of her shoes was found in the bathroom and the other at the window, facts that rule out the idea of suicide,” the plaintiffs said.

And an anonymous source told Cairo airport police that Yusri killed Hosni to steal her jewelry and memoirs.
