After an absence that lasted for over 20 years, prominent Egyptian actress Sofia Al Omari has announced that she will make her debut into the cinema once more in the new film “Sooner or Later”. Sofia will star in the film alongside Kong Fu champion Yousef Mansour and American actor Mathews Hues.

Sofia stressed that she wants to look over the script carefully before giving her final approval and sign any contract. The actress noted that she wants to make sure that her role in the film will be one of great importance after her long absence.
Sofia has recently returned from the United States of America, where she had spent two months making sure that her health is in perfect condition, to resume her role as a Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations. The actress is to take part in a number of seminars regarding the important role Egyptian women play in society, with the cooperation of the National Council of Motherhood.
Sofia revealed that she is now prepared to take part in these activities after doctors in the US reassured her that her health condition is very stable and the reason behind her constant feeling of fatigue is the fact that she was taking the wrong medications.
Sofia added that the reason behind her prolonged stay in the US is in order for her to take time to relax and spend it with her two sons who are residing there. During her absence, she had turned down several invitations to take part in different events.
