Lebanese actress Sireen Abd Al Nour denied recent allegations in the press stating that she opposes Syrian President Bashar Al Asad and his regime. Sireen stressed that she never held any interview with a newspaper in the recent period to make such statements and had been preoccupied with her newborn and filming the scenes for her upcoming television drama “Ruby”.
A number of internet websites and newspaper had published statements allegedly made by Sireen saying that Egyptian revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak was an honorable one and was led by educated young Egyptians who stood strong for their beliefs, but the conditions in Syria are terrifying because aggression by the government is increasing and there is strong refusal to listen to the demands of protesters. She added that all Arab leaders should place stronger efforts in answering the demands of their nations and it’s high time that all unjust leaders pay for the corruption and brutality they committed against their people.
Sireen stressed that she will not allow anyone to accuse her of making statements she did not make and create commotion around her.
On a different note, Sireen and her husband Fareed Rahmah recently celebrated the baptism of their first daughter in the presence of family and friends, in addition to Parliament member George Idwan.
