Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi has announced that she will be celebrating New Year's Eve alongside Egyptian pop singer Amr Diab in Beirut in a joint concert. The two will be performing at the Coral Beach Hotel in a live concert, which is expected to witness a tremendous success due to the large popularity both singers enjoy in Lebanon.
According to the London based, Elaph, Shireen also revealed that she is in the process of preparing for her upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released early next year. The singer also noted that one of the surprises she holds for her fans in the new album is a song sung in the Lebanese dialect. Shireen has in fact begun working with poets and composers to choose the songs for her new album.
Wajdi has recently announced that she is currently looking for a new look to present her audience with for her upcoming album. The singer has made it a point to keep changing the way she looks with every album she releases and so this time she is searching something that will help her make a strong comeback.
Shireen is looking into many different styles that may suit her at the moment and is requesting her husband's opinion, which she has come accustomed to following. She has not yet made her mind on what exactly to choose, and stressed that the new look has become a phenomenon with every singer and accounts greatly to the amount of success one has.
Diab has donated 300 thousands Egyptian pounds to the children hospital project in Cairo. The administration of the new hospital has decided to name one of the wings of the hospital Abudl Basit Diab, after Amr’s father as a way of showing their appreciation towards the singer.
It was revealed that this is not the first time Amr makes such a generous donation to the hospital, but has in fact held special concerts with all proceeds going to the hospital. In addition, Amr has made it a point to give a portion of proceeds of previously held concerts to the hospital. –Albawaba.com
