Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab placed a phone call to the entertainment show “Al Beit Betak” (The Home is your Home) to clarify that her pregnancy was the reason she released her latest album featuring only two new songs. The famous Egyptian comedian Adel Imam was a guest on the entertainment show when Shireen made the call.

Shireen said that her pregnancy and giving birth made it hard for her to record a full album, but she wanted to satisfy her fans.

Adel Imam told Shireen that he is a fan and that she has an original Egyptian voice.  He also said that it is the quality of the songs that matters, not the quantity.

According to the London daily Elaph, Shireen said that she is having the time of her life with her new born daughter Maryam.

Last week Shireen released her latest album “Bataminak” (Relieving You), featuring six songs.  The two new songs are “Bataminak” (Relieving You) was written by Nader Abdullah, composed by Walid Saed and distributed by Muhammad Mustafa.  The second is “Bikilmah Minak” (A Word from You) was written by Nader Abdullah, composed Tamer Ali and distributed by Tareq Abed Al Jaber.

The other four songs are remixes of old songs that she performed on television shows and at parties, but were not officially released.

This is Shireen’s first album released by the production company ‘Rotana.’

Shireen dedicated the album to her newborn daughter, “To my dearest daughter Maryam, whom I love dearly, you are the most precious thing in my life, I love you more than myself.”
