At the premier screening of the film “Halim” Libyan Ahmad Ghazali announced that he and Egyptian singer Shireen are officially engaged, according to the London based Elaph.
“We are both wearing our engagement rings, but have yet to decide on a wedding date,” said Ahmad.
Just three weeks ago at the premier of the film “Imarit Ya’qoubain” (Ya’qoubain’s Building) Shireen said that her public appearances with Ahmad, of Egyptian origin, did not mean they were engaged. Shireen said they were still not sure if they wanted to take their relationship to the next level.
Ahmad said that he did not wish to provide further details about their relationship. He asserted that he has nothing to do with the music industry, but rather he is a businessman who does not like to be placed in the spotlight. He has avoided making public appearances with his Shireen thus far, unlike her ex-fiancé who was seen often.
Shireen waited for the right time to publicly announce her engagement, wanting to be sure of her decision first, after making premature announcements about past relationships.
