‘Rotana’ music channels aired the new clip by the Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab for her song “Inkatabli Omer” (Granted a New Life) for the first time in mid-February. The clip was also aired on Egyptian satellite, and the local Egyptian channels and on Nile Life channel.

The clip for “Inkatabli Omer” was directed by Muhammad Sami and was filmed in Beirut.

The host of the entertainment show “Al Beit Betak” (This House Is Your Home), which is aired on the Egyptian local channel made a phone call to Shireen and asked her about her new clip. Shireen said that she elated over with the airing of her new clip and that she worked very hard to make sure the clip was aired on Valentine’s Day.  She chose to ignore the policy that ‘Rotana’ had placed for her.

According to the London daily Elaph, Shireen said that she wishes production companies would support the artists in what is best for them and to make sure their work is aired on all channels.

On the other hand, Shireen announced that she would like to film more than one video clip for the songs from her upcoming album.  She will continue working on her album once she gives birth to her second baby, said to be a girl.
