The weekly entertainment TV show “Ibtada’ El Mishwar” (The Journey Started) held Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab as guest. It was noted that Shireen did not add anything new to the program nor was her presence of any great significance.

The host of the program Najeem did not ask any new questions and Shireen did not try to fulfill her fans curiosity with her answers.

According to the London daily Elaph, Shireen talked about her simple childhood and how she was very active where she used to hit the neighbors’ kids. She also talks about how she is very simple and down to earth and hates to be phony.

Shireen talked about her great love to Lebanon and how she likes to stay there on her trips, and stated that she feels she is more spoiled and recognized in Lebanon than in  her own country. She emphasized how she did not receive any awards for any of her achievements and was not treated properly in Egypt; even though she sang in many Arab countries and she was very successful.

Shireen sang for her fans a song for the late legend Abdel Halim Hafiz “Mawo’od” (Being Promised). She also sang other song for other singers.
