Egyptian singer Shireen has recently released her new album “Jurh Tani” (Another Heartbeak), which witnessed an unexpected huge success around the Arab world. Critics were at first doubtful that Shireen’s new album would make it saying her success in the previous album “Ah Ya Lail” (Oh Night) was mere luck.
According to the London based Elaph, critics added that Shireen’s luck with her first song would eventually wear out. Shireen proved that it was more than luck that made her popular and she proved her point with her new release, which took her to the top of the charts. The singer added that luck may work once for a singer but she did not base her success on luck, making it a point to reach the heart of her audience with her voice.
Shireen is currently preparing to shoot the song “Sabri Kaleel” (My Patience is Running out) in the form of a music video. The singer had dedicated all her time the past months in recording studios to complete her album. The new release features eight new songs written and composed by a group of well-known poets and composers.
Shireen, known for the hit single “Ah Ya Lail” (Oh Night), released her first solo album after the success she achieved in her joint album with Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni.
The new album us a collection of songs under the titles “Ma Tijrahneesh” (Don’t Hurt Me), “Fakirni” (Do You Remember Me), “Ah Lao Gani Tani” (Oh If He Comes Again). The songs are written by the poets Ahmad Shata and Baha Al Din, and composed by Abo Al Soud, Riad Al Hamshari, and Hamdi Sadiq.
Aside from singing, the singer is currently taking part in her first film “Mido Mashakil” (Troubled Mido) with Egyptian actor Ahmad Hilmi, as a new experience. After completing the new movie, Shireen will go back to recording studios to complete new songs for her upcoming release. The singer plans to divide her time between the recording studio and the film studio saying that being put under pressure helps her achieve more success. –Albawaba.com
