For the first time in her career, Egyptian singer Shireen Ahmad will go on a tour around Canada alongside Lebanese singer Assi Hilani starting at the end of November. The tour will take the two singer to four cities around Canada the first being in Toronto.
According to the London based Elaph, Assi had gone on tour around Canada last year alongside Lebanese singer Alissa and was marked with significant success. Shireen had also gone on tour with Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker around Canada last year and ended with the two singing a duet together.
On a different note, Shireen is facing a second lawsuit from her previous producer Hamdi Ahmad, who asked for one million EGP as compensation for leaving him and signing with another producer without breaking the contract. The second lawsuit came after an interview the singer held with Al-Kawakeb magazine and another one in Nadine magazine.
Ahmad filed the second lawsuit accusing her of defaming and slander. In his notification Ahmad accused Shireen of saying words that does not suit him and offended him in public. Shireen said that Ahmad was a crook and a swindler.
Shireen knew about the notification and asked her lawyer to follow up. The court is supposed to have a session in the middle of next month. Shireen had announced that she will not concern herself with the lawsuit filed against her by Hamdi and will leave the matter to her personal lawyer to handle. The singer stressed that she is currently too busy with her new album to think about such cases or worry herself about the lawsuit. -Albawaba.com
