Egyptian singer Shireen Ahmad has announced her engagement to an Egyptian businessman, who is not part of the entertainment world. Shireen held a private engagement party in her home, which consisted of her family and producer Naser Mahrous, whom she made up with recently, in addition to her fiancé’s family.
According to Al Waad daily, Shireen stressed that her marriage will not affect her music career, and that she plans on resuming her journey, especially since the upcoming period marks such an important one with the success she is accomplishing.
Shireen has already begun preparations for her big wedding day, which she reveals will be a grand one with the presence of all her friends from the entertainment world. The wedding is scheduled to be held at one of the grand hotels in Cairo this summer.
Only twenty-four hours after Egyptian singer Angham signed her contract with the Music Production Company Rotana, Shireen also signed a contract with the company breaking her existing one with producer Naser Mahrous, who has been adopting all of her work. Rotana has committed to compensate Mahrous financially for breaking the contract with Shireen, which he and the singer had signed before she released her first album.
The signing of the contract with Rotana comes exactly one week after Shireen and Mahrous cleared their differences and returned to being on good terms after a series of disputes. Sources revealed that the duet “New Year” Shireen sang with Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker, which was produced by Rotana, was in more ways than one an introductory to opening the doors of her joining the company.
Ongoing disputes that lasted several weeks between Egyptian singer Shireen Ahmad and her producer Naser Mahrous have finally ended. Peace between the two was accomplished by the help of Egyptian singer Tamer Husni, who felt that the matter had gone too far and the accusation war must come to an end. Tamer had made the two meet and solve their differences to become friends once more. Recently Shireen was to be probed by the Egyptian Musician Union in front of a judiciary committee after Mahrous filed a complaint against her for releasing a duet with Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker without his consent.
Mahrous has the sole right of managing Shireen’s work and deciding what can be released. Mahrous claimed that Shireen intentionally made the song without telling him because she has made plans to move to a new production company. The producer added that in the case that Shireen breaks the contract with him, she must pay a compensation fee of 3 million Egyptian pounds. -Albawaba.com
