October 2 was a day to remember of the Egyptian star Sharihan and her family. After a crucial nine days in her life, doctors announced yesterday noon the success of Sharihan's surgery, completed last week in Paris.
The Kuwaiti daily, Al Rai Al Aam newspaper, reported in its Thursday issue that French doctor Philip Manar announced yesterday the success of the surgery on the right side of Sharihan's face. He also added that extensive medical analysis was made prior to announcing the result, "the analysis showed that Sharihan's body accepted the new organ, but she still has to stay under supervision for the coming 6 months," Dr. Manar concluded.
For his part, Sharihan's secretary Jamal Anwar, told the newspaper that they were all relieved after hearing the good news, and that "doctors have banned visits to Sharihan in the coming two weeks to avoid any unexpected side effects."
Talking about Sharihan's health after the great weight loss she experienced following her illness, Anwar said that "she is still taking food, water and medicine through tubes, but she's getting back to gaining weight gradually."
On another note and several days before her surgery in Paris, Sharihan told the newspaper that she has all documents needed to scorn the Egyptian Bar Association after refusing her request to become a lawyer. – Albawaba.com
