Superstar Sarihan is poised to try on the role of Evita Peron, the Argentinean legend most famously played by Madonna.
Film director Munir Murad has nominated Sharihan to star in his latest play, which is based on the life of sultry Evita and her dictator husband, but in an Egyptian context.
Murad is reportedly holding daily meetings with Medhat Al Adel, who is now putting his last touches on the script, according to Akhbar Al Nujoum magazine.
The play explores the life of a dancer who has a scandalous relationship with a senior official, and later wins a seat in the national assembly - Albawaba.com
