Egyptian actress Sharihan has been requested by her doctors to remain in Paris for the time being and not return to Egypt until so that she can undergo several new tests. Her doctors told her that the tests have to be made in order to make certain that no more cancerous tumors are present in her body.
According to the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom, Sharihan will not be able to leave France for at least another month ruining her previous plans to return within a couple of days. Doctors told her that the result of the tests need at least three weeks, and after that period, a decision will be made if she can return to Egypt or if she must stay a bit longer in France to undergo additional treatment.
It was noted that the actress's psychological state has improved a great deal, and she is more positive about her health and is hopeful that she will return to her home in no time.
Sharihan had returned to Egypt earlier this year, despite strict doctors orders to be with her daughter and family after being away for so long.
Doctors, who were supervising the health condition of Sharihan, feared that her return to Egypt would create complications especially since her condition is still somewhat critical and she is to avoid speaking and undergoing any activity.
After months of critical treatment for cancerous tumors and after countless rumors of her deformation and even death, Sharihan returned to Egypt alive and in good condition. Standing alongside her husband, Palestinian businessman Alaa Al Khawaja, Sharihan stood with her ever so popular smile thankful to have returned to her home expressing her appreciation to all those who stood by her side throughout her illness.
On October 14, 2002, doctors announced that the face of Sharihan would never return to normal, after an 18-hour surgery she underwent in Pitie Salpetriere hospital, in Paris. Her secretary Jamal Anwar assured then that the stars state is still stable, and that doctors are still prohibiting visits to Sharihan to avoid any unexpected side effects.
Born on December 6th 1965, Sharihan Ahmad Abdul Fatah Al Shalakani, a member of the well-known Khorshid family, showed interest in becoming a professional dancer and an actress at an early age. She studied both ballet and tap dancing besides keeping up with school at the age of 6, and had her movie debut in Quita Ala Nar (Quita On Fire).
