Egyptian actress Sharihan has announced her resignation from the entertainment world and has worn the Hijab “Islamic headdress”, stressing that she will not remove it under any circumstance. The actress made her decision before her last trip to France to undergo more medical tests as requested by her doctors.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Sharihan stressed that her decision to wear the Hijab came due to the fact that she wanted to dedicate her life to God and worship him the right way especially after surviving such a critical illness, which she thought would take her life. The actress added that she will not return to acting ever again, even if she was offered something out of this world. Sharihan noted that she will focus on raising her only daughter and take care of her husband.
Sharihan had returned to Paris recently to undergo additional medical tests requested by her physicians in order to be one hundred percent sure that no cancer tissues exist in her body. The doctors also wanted to make sure that no side effects occurred after the surgery she underwent a few months ago,
Sharihan's personal secretary assured that the actress's health condition is improving by the day, and that doctors have allowed her to take part in small conversations, but still have not given the green light for people to visit her. Their decision comes from the fear that any activity may exhaust Sharihan and in turn negatively affect her improvement.
A few of months ago, everyone was surprised with Sharihan’s unexpected arrival at Cairo airport after having been in Paris undergoing medical test for the treatment of cancer. It was announced that she is completely cured from cancer and can now resume her life as a healthy individual. Her husband and family accompanied her on her husband’s private plane.
The actress’s appearance reflected that her health condition was stable and she looked. Sharihan refused to make any announcements except that she thanks God and all those who stood by her side while she was undergoing surgeries and extensive treatment. It was revealed that Sharihan’s return is a final one where she will resume her normal life before she left to Paris to undergo treatment for cancer.
Doctors supervising the health condition of Sharihan had announced that the actress’s test results show great improvement. Doctors had reduced the number of tests from twice a week to once a week due to the tremendous progress Sharihan has showed.
On October 14, 2002, doctors announced that the face of Sharihan would never return to normal, after an 18-hour surgery she underwent in Pitie Salpetriere hospital, in Paris. Her secretary Jamal Anwar assured then that the stars state is still stable, and that doctors are still prohibiting visits to Sharihan to avoid any unexpected side effects. –Albawaba.com
