Egyptian producer Sharif Sabri, who is also controversial singer Ruby’s business manager, announced that Ruby will no longer accept any offers to sing at weddings or private occasions.
Rumors have been circulating that Ruby has accepted numerous offers to sing at wedding parties for exorbitant sums of money, and that agents contact daily Sharif daily to request performances.
Ruby and Lebanese singer Maria will give separate performances at the Shubaib Music festival in Jordan this summer, a precedent for both singers.
The event, under the patronage of her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, will feature a number of new singers like Jad Shweiri, and former “Superstar” contestants Haitham Saeed and Soud Abu Sultan.
Sabri has confirmed that all rumors concerning Ruby’s participation in a new film or television drama are untrue, and that she will not appear in any feature outside of his production and direction.
Sharif added that Ruby has declined numerous offers to star in different works because they are not in accord with the plan he has set for her to become a superstar.
Sharif stated that he has only approved one potential offer for Ruby outside of his sphere, which is a staring role in an upcoming film by prominent Egyptian director Yousif Shahin.
