During her visit to Jordan the first place winner of the music talent show “Star Academy,” Shahinaz, appeared as a guest on “Sawt Al Ghad” (Sound of Tomorrow) radio station.
According to the London daily Elaph, Shahinaz said that “Star Academy” was an important experience for her because the show enabled her voice to reach listeners. Shahinaz said that every contestant on the talent show that reaches the final round receives a gift. As the winner she reached the final stage and was also promised a gift, although she never received it.
Shahinaz said her winning gift was supposed to be a song composed by the famous Lebanese musician Marwan Khoury.
Shahinaz said that when she asked the people working at “Star Academy” about her gift, they said that Marwan Khoury is busy.
Khoury’s manager said that neither he nor Khoury knew about the matter.
Shahinaz is working on a new Egyptian song, but she is still waiting for a production company to produce it.
When Shahinaz was at the “MEMA” awards the famous Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny was surprised to discover that she is not with any production company and asked it if they can meet and talk.
Shahinaz confirmed that the number one singer in Egypt is the superstar Amr Diab.
