It appears that the TV drama won’t stop at a certain point in tackling the history of Arab states. The joint Saudi-Syrian series Masiret Jeel (Generation March) tackles the modern history of Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi daily Al Riyadh.
The series is about an era in the history of the Saudi area of Najd from 1918. It also confirms the historical links between Najd and the Syrian area of Palmyra from all aspects and the geographical links in particular. The series depicts the events that took place in Najd villages when the inherited traditions were prevailing and life was difficult before all the kingdom areas were united.
Costarring in the series are Sabah Ebaid, Fadia Khattab, and Rawaah Yasin, from Syria. This is in addition to Nayef Khalaf, Ali Ibrahim, Abdulla Sinan and Abdel Rahman Khraij from Saudi Arabia. The series is a Saudi production, directed by Ghassan Jabri and written by Abdel Rahman Suwaidan.
