Egyptian actress Samira Ahmad decided that after she is complete with the Ramadan drama “Ameera Fi Abdeen” (Ameera in Abdeen), she plans to immediately begin work on the big screen. She will start her cinematic work on the film “Afkar” (Thoughts), which has been postponed more than once due to the difficult conditions Egyptian cinema has been going through in terms of production and distribution.
The movie “Afkar” is written by her own daughter Jalila and her popular cast in her current drama “Ameera fi Abdeen”, Yousif Sha’ban, Hanan Turk, and Ahmad Riad will costar with her. The Egyptian daily, Al Akhbar, reported that no specific director has been chosen and given the job as of now for the film.
The film revolves around the life of Samira Ahmad and her achievements through out her career. Hanan Turk will be playing the role of Samira Ahmad during her younger years. The film is a complete biography of Samira’s life through the eyes of her daughter. –Albawaba.com
