After their success working together, Egyptian actor Osama Okasha and prominent Egyptian actress Samira Ahmad, go at it once more for the third time in a new TV drama series "Qarar Imra'ah Shuja'ah" (A Courageous Woman's Decision). The new drama targets social corruption where a woman of law "Dr. Najwan", played by Samir, stands up against the toughest challenges as a lawyer.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Samira fights corruption cases in the courtroom with the will to win through her faith in the judicial system of the state. She fights in what she believes in and makes it a point to never give up no matter what the cost may be.
Samira and Osama have previously worked together in "Imra'a Fi Zaman Hub" (A Woman in The Time of Love) and "Amirah Fi Abdeen" (Ameerah In Abdeen), two TV dramas that have gained a huge success among viewers all over the Arab world.
On a different note, Samira was chosen for the role due to her expertise in portraying different roles for women in society not necessarily in introducing different issues only, but in the realistic manner she performs the roles given to her.
Samira had decided that after she completed the Ramadan drama “Ameera Fi Abdeen” she plans to immediately begin work on the big screen. She started her cinematic work on the film “Afkar” (Thoughts), which has been postponed more than once due to the difficult conditions Egyptian cinema has been going through in terms of production and distribution.
The movie “Afkar” is written by her own daughter Jalila and her popular cast in her current drama “Ameera fi Abdeen”, Yousif Sha’ban, Hanan Turk, and Ahmad Riad will costar with her. The film revolves around the life of Samira Ahmad and her achievements through out her career. Hanan Turk will be playing the role of Samira Ahmad during her younger years. The film is a complete biography of Samira’s life through the eyes of her daughter. –Albawaba.com
