Egyptian actor Salah Al Saadani sees the series Zaman Al Awlamah (Time of Globalization) as reviving, with a new vision, the era of the trilogy Bain Al Qasrain (Between the Two Palaces), according to the UAE daily Al Bayan.
“The character of the teacher Al Husseinin in Zaman Al Awlamah (Time of Globalization) is an expansion of the character Al Sayyed Ahmed Abdel Jawwad in the trilogy Bain Al Kasrain (Between the Two Palaces) written by Nagib Mahfouz and the character I performed in the series Abul U’la Al Bishri by Osama Anwar Ukasha. But the difference is in the era of the series,” Saadani told the daily."
“I'm not exaggerating by saying that I'm currently performing the most important role in my artistic career,” he added.
Al Husseini Afandi is a sophisticated biology teacher who likes poetry. He tries to get closer to his sons amid the rapid development of technology, and still maintain the customs, traditions and values he has inherited from his ancestors.
All of a sudden, his life is turned upside down by a romance that leads to his second marriage.
The episodes were written and directed by Essam Al Shammaa. The series depicts many political issues and links them with the new trend of globalization, which changes the world map as it pleases.
In the eyes of the director, globalization aims at establishing major economic entities without paying any attention to the plight of developing countries - Albawaba.com
