Egyptian folk singer Saed Al Sughayer was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at one of the hospitals in Cairo after being given the wrong medication.
The singer remained in hospital for a few days and was then released after doctors were assured his condition was stable once more.
Wajih Al Husseini, Saed’s agent, said in a press release that the singer was released from hospital after his condition improved greatly and said that deterioration of Saed’s health was not due to the illness he suffered several months ago from a rare virus he had caught while he was abroad.
Wajih added that the singer had experienced a case of extreme fatigue recently and when his family called in a doctor to examine him, he was carelessly given an incorrect dosage of medicine. This led Saed to be admitted immediately to hospital.
The constant visits by stars to Saed helped his self esteem and a speedy recovery. Among the stars that visited Saed were singer Huda, Amina, actress Aytin Amer, belly dancer Dina, producer Ahmed Al Sabki and many more.
