Controversial Egyptian singer Ruby denied circulating rumors that she is at war with her younger sister Kooky, and that she is against her entering the entertainment world.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Ruby stressed that her sister is still attending the university, and she has never expressed an interest in entering the entertainment world. On the contrary, her sole interest at the time is finishing her education and completing her postgraduate studies.  She is not jealous of her sister and never will be, asserted Ruby.

Ruby stated that if her sister has the talent she will make it big in the entertainment world, although Kooky is a very shy person with no performing experience, she clarified.

Rumors claim after a recent concert held by Ruby at the Concorde Hotel in Egypt, the singer appeared to be extremely angry, refusing to speak to anyone as she left the premises.

Despite the fact that her performance was a success, it was said that Ruby became upset with her sister for dancing in front of the audience in a seductive manner, and to the music of Lebanese singer Assi Hilani, and not her own, to make matters worse.

On a different note, Ruby’s agent Sharif Sabri, revealed that he will film a new music video for Ruby for the song "Misheet Wara Ihsas" (I Followed a Feeling) from Ruby’s upcoming album scheduled for release this summer. Filming will take place in Sharm El Sheikh.

Ruby, whose name is originally Rania Hussein Tawfiq, refuses to answer back to the attacks against her published by various tabloid papers, particularly after she releases a new music video.

Ruby stated, "I do not even bother to read such magazines and newspapers that only publish lies about stars." Such lies are created by tabloids to make more money, noted Ruby.

Ruby asserted that "A person should concentrate on the things that he or she enjoys, and that make a difference in their life, instead of being occupied with rumors created by sick individuals."
