Egyptian actor Ridha Al Jamal, known for playing the son of Basha in the play Rayya Wa Sakinah, has returned to the small screen in the TV series Alamet Al Istifham Al Akhirah (Last Question Mark).

Jamal performed in five films and participated in many events and TV series, but disappeared abruptly for 15 years due to involvement in his business activities.

All of a sudden, Jamal has left his business and returned to art through the latest TV series, which is scripted by Fathi Abdel Maqsoud and directed by Elham Draz. Costarring with Jamal are Zizi Mustafa, Miral Kamal and Ahmed Khamis.

“The series belongs to the social genre and depicts the life history of Hassan Farid, the editor in chief of a newspaper, and his family, consisting of wife Muna, daughter Sara and son Ahmed,” Jamal told the UAE daily Al Bayan.

As Jamal tells it, the story runs as follows: Farid faces many problems due to his editorials against drug dealers and receives numerous threats, but doesn’t pay attention to them.

Meanwhile, his personal life worsens. He blames his wife for not caring for his family affairs. His son flees the house suddenly to marry an older woman and to become a drug addict.

Finally, Farid in collaboration with the police manages to unmask the drug gang members and his son returns home after treatment for addiction.

Jamal added, “the series is the reason for my return after a 15-year sabbatical, as there was nothing new. But now, the cinema is better, particularly with the new blood of young men who have taken up the challenge. Cinema works have become more popular with the audience, returning again to the silver screen.” – Albawaba.com
